Progress Report: New Revisions of Books & Why Prices Climbed Upward.

 Dear Reader,

The work on new revisions to my books is stalled. Part of this is because I had pneumonia for two months, then a month of arm problems (bursitis is uncomfortable, y'all.), followed by the crafting season hit me like a freight train. Once I get past Yule, I will resume working on revisions to my books.

If you go to Amazon, you may find that some of my books are missing and the prices on those that are not have gone up by approximately $5.00. This is not to garner more profit off of these books. It is because Amazon's publishing side (Kindle Direct Publishing or KDP) has raised rates due to their publishing house raising rates citing workforce issues and supply problems. The books that are missing were deemed by the algorithm unfit for what KDP wanted to offer to customers. To say the least I am mightily vexed.

The next revisions are going to be published through a different indie publisher. I have heard that Lulu is under new management and have resolved many of the issues that caused me to step away. I am investigating this. If I can go back to Lulu and resume publishing through them, I will. If I have to go another route for publishing, I'll inform you with another update on this project.

A Year with Déa is going to go through a major overhaul. I wanted to warn you of this because the second version will be discussing things like Covid and world crises. The world has changed from when the first version came out and I'd like to update it so that it is still useful to readers in the chaos of today. Another book going through major revisions is going to be the Clear Recital: Children of Déa Version. There has been requests for changes in formatting and such. I'm going to do my best to accommodate all of them. The team that I worked with on the first revision of the Clear Recital: CDV has all become involved with their own projects. I'm still deeply thankful for their help and I'm hoping that the revisions will clarify our work rather than muddy the waters.

Such a heavy text!

 Dear Reader,

I am on my third read through the entire Opera Omina of the Madrian Order. The text is so densely packed. It makes me think of the two volume set of the Norton Anthology of English. I think they might be comparable in size.

My youngest son picked up the book to move it and said, "Mom, you need to read lighter books."

On this read through, I am taking notes and, dare I say it, making notations in the books as well. I want to give a through analysis of each essay and bit that went into these two tomes. I am thankful that the type font is easy to read. I am grateful for all the work Race put into the layout to make it flow well and be easy on the eyes. That said, holy cow are these big books.

I fear if I dropped them on my foot at the same time, I'd lose a toe.

My First Question that the Opera Omnia couldn't answer.

 Dear Reader,

I have spent months reading, researching, and attempting to make sense of a single line from the teaching in the Clear Recital : The Three Loves. I have discovered this teaching is missing from the Gospel of Our Mother God. I have found that it is present in all other versions of the Clear Recital, including the one I was head editor on. At the time I was working on the Children of Déa version of the Clear Recital, I was focused on improving language and format. I and my team did our very best to include as much of our research into the book.

One can imagine my surprise as I was reading the CDV's version of the Three Loves and I came upon this line.

And rightfully it has been said that your soul shall be placed in the balance against a feather, and if the beam tip even by a fraction are you condemned. CDV: The Three Loves, Verse46; Page 104, lines 4-8

I immediately sought my other copies of the Clear Recital. Word for word, this line was present in each copy except for the Gospel of Our Mother God. I then turned to the Opera Omina for some form of exposition upon this line. I found nothing to help me interpret it in either volume. This was a large disappointment. I then began looking through the digital library of the Society for Filianic Studies via the Wayback Machine internet archive. I found a great deal of discourse about politics but little about theology and nothing to clarify this line.

Thus I was forced to sit in contemplation and try to puzzle out the answer to the questions that arose from this line. These questions are:

  1. Who places our souls in this scale?
  2. Which direction of the beam tipping are we facing damnation?
  3. Who judges this scale?
  4. How does this condemnation/damnation effect our eternal rescue from Khear by the Daughter?
I have thought long and hard on these questions. I chose the word damnation in this post because, to be honest it is a very functional synonym for what is expressed here. I have no answers for these questions. I have prayed over this line for many days and all I find is a sloppy connection to ancient Egyptian mythos and the weighing of the heart. The feather belongs to Maat, the goddess of justice. Anubis, the god of the dead presided over the weighing. And Thoth recorded the results. If the heart was filled with good the scales would be equal. If the heart was filled with evil, the scale would tip towards the heart. And the soul would be given to Ammut, who would eat them, for they were not the blessed (good) dead who would go to live with Osiris in paradise.

This requires deeper thought and raises more questions. Like why did the foremothers of the faith choose this connection when there had already been an established system for what happens when you die.

The Opera Omnia wasn't as helpful as I had hoped.

 Dear Reader,

I chewed my way through the Opera Omina (both books) and came up with more questions than answers. Isn't it maddening when you sit down with source material and not only can't you find explanation of material in the other primary work you're reading but a laundry list of other questions pop up. In comparing the Opera Omnia to the Clear Recital (ECE edition because it is the most popular), I couldn't find clarification of a number of things that bothered me about some passages in the Clear Recital. I couldn't help but come to the conclusion that Filianism/Déanism have an incomplete theology. Honestly, the deeper I read into it, the more I find unclear where it is said to be simple.

I know some find satisfaction in the fact that there are deeper mysteries that can not be fully comprehended. But when a statement is presented as fact and there is no follow up or exposition to explain that fact, I'm left wondering what is missing, where do I find it, and how do I present it to prevent the confusion of others. I can't help a measure of grief that much of the sacred knowledge is hidden or lost. We have a portion of the wisdom of the elders and this grieves me, for I see a time coming that we shall have need of it.

A gift for the Independent Filianist in your life.

 Dear Reader,

There's a growing number of Independent Filianists and Déanists in the community. They may find the language in the predominant orthodox texts frustrating or difficult to connect with. I humbly suggest they consider the Children of Déa Version of the Clear Recital. This was a project done by independent Filianists for independent Filianists. It has all of the classic wisdom texts updated for today's needs. It also has adjusted the language to be more inclusive to a larger range of people who may have been put off by the use of 'maid' in the other renditions of the Clear Recital.

This version of the Clear Recital also contains things that have been mystically revealed to members of the independent Filianist community over the last five years regarding the Holy Mythos of the Creation and the Holy Mythos of the Daughter.

I had some difficulty with formatting this work's notation on the cover, I am not the sole author but I was the chief editor. The others who had worked on this project have chosen to remain anonymous. All of the proceeds from the purchase of this version of the Clear Recital go to charity. (Presently, I have been making preemie hats for the local NICU with yarn that has been funded by this work. I'm up to 60 hats at this time.)

Wishing you a blessed Feast of the Conception of the holy Daughter.

I happily have returned to making videos again. I am sharing with you the devotional poem from the Unabridged Filianic Calendar Devotional that is in honor of this holy day. I will try to get another video (or possibly two) up before the end of the Julian year. While it is late in the Filianic year, this is the traditional time of giving gifts. If you or someone you know is interested, this devotional may be a delightful gift as you move through the Filianic year. It is set up differently from A Year with Déa, as there is no correlation between the Julian calendar and the Filianic calendar, but the format focuses on daily devotionals and holidays, all of which are a bit movable because of the difference between the Julian calendar and the Filianic calendar.

All of my rambling aside, here's the poem and I hope it brings you joy.

Upon the first holy Night
Upon the waves walked the Mother-Bright
Swathed in sea-foam white
She conceived a child of Light
Blessed is that holy Night
Blessed is the holy Mother-Bright

An update.

 Dear Reader,

The last several days have been super busy and I haven't had a chance to update the blog (or work on my NaNoWriMo project). Turkey day week is always chaotic. I always forget that fact. I will do my best to get back into my regular posting on various topics. If you are shopping for a Filianist in your life (or for yourself as a treat) I have several books out along that vein. You might want to start with the first one that I put out in 2014, Rose Petals: A Filianic Psalter. If you're shopping for a Heathen (or, more specifically a Lokean) in your life, I have a new book out. It is The Veiled Witch's Ritual Book, Vol. 2: A Lokean Devotional. The Lokean devotional gives detailed instructions for building a person relationship with Loki, the Norse God of Mischief.

I thank you for your consideration of possibly picking up a copy of something I have written. And I thank you for your continued readership. As we march forward into the holiday season, I hope that you all find great joy and many blessings. I'm going to do my best to keep up through the chaos of the holidays. Post may be a bit shorter than usual. I apologize for the brevity in advance. Finding time to write is getting a little hairy this time of year.

Print Lokean Devotional is Live!

 Dear Reader,

The print edition of the Lokean Devotional that I wrote is live. It whipped through the review process a lot faster than I expected. There is a bunch more material in the print version. I also hint at something that I'm going to be writing over the course of next year and the year after (because I've got a whole ton of things to go over and get set up for being in hardcover format). I'm still working my way through my list of book topics. There's a bunch of stuff in the works, but I finally got this one finished up for you. I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful.

Regarding that Lokean devotional I wrote.

Hey y'all, if I seem a bit off kilter it's because I put my back out last Wednesday and I'm on some stuff that's spelled like Scrabble tiles thrown out the window. It's making writing a bit of a challenge. My ducks are not in a row. I have irritable squirrels that are at a rave, wanting glow-sticks, in my back.

As I was going to say, enough people have shown interest in a print copy that I've started working on more material for it. It's going to be a little bit because of this business of my back being an issue. I'm working things out on paper before I type them up. But, I am working on it.

Regarding a Print copy of the Lokean Devotional.

 Dear Reader,

As I had stated in a previous post, if there is enough interest in a print version of my newest book (The Veiled Witch’s Ritual Book, Vol. 2: A Lokean Devotional) I will make that happen. Now, the question one may ask is how I gauge interest. If I have at least 10 people ask, I will put this into motion. The print version will have additional content because it will be longer than the ebook. As of right now, the ebook does not meet the minimum page count requirement for a print book. I’m in the process of developing more material for the print version, but I need you to let me know that you are interested.

The Veiled Witch's Ritual Book, Vol. 2: A Lokean Devotional

 Dear Reader,

As I had announced earlier in the week, my new book is coming out. The Veiled Witch's Ritual Book, Vol. 2: A Lokean Devotional is now available for purchase.

New book dropping soon!

 Dear Reader,

I just finished writing and editing the second volume of The Veiled Witch's Ritual Book. This book's focus is on Lokean devotional practices. It's a slim volume and will only be available as an ebook (unless there is sufficient demand for it to be a paperback, all y'all have to let me know if you want a physical book for this one). It is currently being reviewed by the publisher. I will let you know when it is ready for sale and post a pic of the cover.

Book progress notes (because Camp NaNoWriMo)

 Dear Reader,

I may have mentioned back in April that I was working on a Lokean devotional. Well, my brain decided that a massive depressive episode was necessary and that screwed up getting the thing done that month. April is the first Camp NaNoWriMo of the year, July is the second one. I have about a third of the first section of the book done. It's not going to be very long and my goal is not 50k words. My goal is to write for an hour every day until this thing is finished. On the days where I can get more than an hour worth of writing in, I'll do so. It's just been difficult because the kids are very distracting when they're around and when I'm not working on my writing, I am doing stuff to keep the household running. It's just a difficult month to do Camp NaNoWriMo. (By the way, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, which officially takes place in November.)

I'm working on it, it's just going slowly. Hopefully it won't stretch into August because I have books to edit slated for time in that month. We'll see. I'm doing my best to post daily for the July for Loki meme over on my other witchy blog. It's not going that great because I am kinda short on time for writing across multiple platforms.

By Independent Filianists for Independent Filianists.

 Dear Reader,

It seems that the Orthodox Filianic community are displeased with the Children of Déa Version of the Clear Recital. They've expressed some skepticism about things included and displeasure with the changes to the language. I find this questionable. A purist would have taken objection with the Authorized Aristasian Version (Also known as The Gospel of Our Mother God) because there were vast amounts of the wisdom texts left out or heavily edited. And there was an appropriation of Sanskrit holy texts on two accounts. Still, I see this upheld as a valid and commendable edition of the Clear Recital. Thus, I question the way that the Orthodox Filianic community have chosen to view the Children of Déa Version.

Some have said that this work has no basis in community revelations. This is because they are not in contact with the Independent Filianic community. In many ways, the division between the Orthodox Filianic community and Independent Filianic community is deep and irreconcilable. The reaction to this edition of the Clear Recital high lights this ideological chasm. The focus of their criticism is upon the language used. This criticism shows that they do not recognize the Clear Recital as a living document, which many in the Independent Filianic community view the Clear Recital as. As a living document, the Clear Recital is subject to multiple interpretations and iterations that are responsive to the times that it moves through.

When holy texts become static, this is where dogmatic adherence to a strict single interpretation from an assumed authority becomes the rule. There is no Pope or similar authority figure in Filianism. If the Orthodox Filianic community wishes to devise a council to encourage and enforce the orthodox perspective, so be it. But, I question whom would take the diversity within the Orthodox Filianic community and condense it down to a single perspective? From what authority comes the guidance and directive to do so? I fear that the Orthodox Filianic community, if they move upon the path of enforcing a specific interpretation of the Clear Recital, will become a cult of personality and become more focused upon adhering to the views of the person who eventually establishes themselves as their would be leader instead of listening to the guidance of Déa as found within themselves and in the Clear Recital.

The Children of Déa Version of the Clear Recital was produced by Independent Filianists for Independent Filianists. It shares a great deal with the previous versions of the Clear Recital, but it has been revised to meet the needs of the Independent Filianic community. It is not 'male centric' as some critics have said. Language has been turned to gender neutral in many places, except where it logically does not make sense. It has had the grammar and syntax adjusted so that the reading level required to get through it is lower, therefore more accessible. The essential messages of the wisdom texts are unchanged. And the changes to the Creation and the Holy Mythos of the Daughter are based upon revelations that were given to members of the Independent Filianic community over the last five years. This is not a book for the Orthodox Filianic community. It does not address your needs. It is for the Independent Filianic community that has a different set of needs which Déa has seen fit to address through what she has revealed to different members of the Independent Filianic community.

Yes, this book has been put under copyright protection. This does not make the book the property of the copyright holder. This protects the intellectual content of the book. It is a break with the traditions associated with the Clear Recital. It is my opinion that it is a wise choice to do so because every single holy book you can go out and buy has copyright protection for every single possible version of it out there (with the exception of a very small number of books). Copyright protection is something that preserves the integrity of the text. Relying upon the honorable conduct of others in this day and age is a fickle thing because there is a large population that do not believe in honor as a code of conduct. The honor system that was adhered to in the past to preserve the Clear Recital is not dependable today.

Indeed, if one views the Children of Déa Version of the Clear Recital as an abomination, it simply proves the necessity for the other versions to have been presented under the protection of copyright.

I did not work alone on this version of the Clear Recital, though my name is on it. The others who contributed to it are intentionally anonymous to prevent harassment and abuse. I have seen what happens when internet communities turn ugly. I have placed my shield between them and those who would give them grief sufficient to drive them away from our shared faith. I have done so because that is what Déa and the High Ones demand of me. If you wish to seek out the sources of the inspired content, I'm sure you can find it floating around on the internet somewhere. But the internet is a large place and quite convoluted. Let it be enough that it was revealed and has been shared. Such was the way of things with the Clear Recital in the beginning of things.

Joyful news!

 Dear Reader,

Your purchase of The Clear Recital: The Children of Déa Version has funded the charity project that I have been itching to be working on. It was suspended temporarily due to Covid-19, but they're starting to look for preemie hats again. The white hat pictures is the size that would fit the head of a 3 - 5 lb premature baby. Preemies can have head sizes that range from that of a lemon to the size of a small grapefruit. Micro-preemies can have heads as small as a large chicken's egg. I use acrylic yarn because it is hypoallergenic and can be washed normally with out fears of anything bad happening to the hat. I crochet the hats because it makes for a thicker hat which helps keep the baby's head warmer (this helps them with regulating their bodily temperature).

As I get more hats done I will try to post pictures of the progress I am making. The year before Covid-19 arrived on the scene and the program was suspended, I had produced a little over 50 hats. This year my goal is to double it. I may post my pattern (which can be enlarged to make simple hats for older children and adults by adding more rounds to the crown of the hat) later too. (And yes, my yarn bag says 'Happy Hooker' it makes the people at the spinning guild crack up every time I whip it out.)

 Dear Reader,

If you've been around for a while, you may have noticed that I have a lot of stuff over on Lulu.com and I'm in the process of moving it over to Kindle Direct Publishing (a subsidiary of Amazon). As of right now, books will be available as paperbacks and ebooks. I'm still hunting for where I can do these up as hardbacks and a secure site for the .pdf that has been requested. As I make more progress porting things over from one site to the other, I will update this list. Eventually, I'll update the books and goods page too.

Regarding changes in The Children of Déa Version of The Clear Recital.

 Dear Reader,

My work on this version of The Clear Recital was challenging. I spent a good deal of time adapting the language for our contemporary era. Recognizing that I hadn't the capacity to generate a version that was easily a pocket rendition, I focused on doing my best to preserve the essence of the texts and clarify the document in the light of mystical revelations that had come to many of us in the community over the last five years. I know that there are elements of these revelations that I have missed because my records are incomplete. At the same time, I knew that these revelations, especially regarding the narrative of Creation and of the Daughter's descent into the realm of the Dark Queen had to be incorporated because they answered vital questions.

I took the time to carefully examine the wisdom texts. Recognizing that the guidance provided in the wisdom texts were focused upon Madrian household structures, I carefully studied them and looked at the predominant social structures around me. Then, I reinterpreted the elements focused upon the Madrian household structure to be more applicable to the modern household structure and the social structure of the communities we live in. I was careful to update the language to make it welcoming to all people of all genders while retaining the essence of the teachings.

I prayed a great deal as I was working through this project and consulted as much of the existent literature as I could. I also sought clarification through the divination of third parties who were not involved with the matter in any fashion. I knew that their unbiased position would make it easier for me to receive Déa's instruction on various points than doing my own divination work. (Although, I did engage in divination on my own to answer questions that arose as I was working. And I found my findings confirmed in the workings of others, which was reassuring.)

There are some elements of the narrative of Creation that depart from other accounts. I was hesitant to include them, despite receiving signs to do so, until I encountered a document from Sr. Angelina that spoke of the Janyati and how some of them move through the World to guide us. I knew that there needed to be a distinction between the terrestrial Janyati and the celestial Janyati. As such, the terrestrial ones are named 'the elder kin' in the narrative of Creation and in the narrative of the Daughter. At times, the term 'primordial gods' is used interchangeably with 'elder kin' to describe the relationship between humanity and the terrestrial Janyati.

Just as the celestial Janyati are emanations of Déa's power and light, considered by some sects as additional facets of Déa, so too are the terrestrial Janyati. The terrestrial Janyati are tied to the World through their decision to descend into the World to protect and guide the mortal children of Déa through the period that the Daughter is not present yet in the world.

Because the abyss of khear is present the terrestrial Janyati are impacted by the distance between them and Déa. This gives rise to strife due to the machinations of the Snake, which ultimately leads to the fall of one of the terrestrial Janyati into the netherworld and their renouncement of the others and Déa. This fallen Janyati becomes the Dark Queen, whose companion is the Snake.

It is evident, I think, that the Snake remains a liminal, menacing figure that is both the False Self and the force which would draw all into the abyss if possible. The Snake is a shape-shifting figure that moves between the different elements of reality seeking to beguile and destroy the children of Déa. And, despite the efforts of the terrestrial Janyati to keep an eye on it, they too are drawn into the strife that the Snake leaves in its wake. As the Snake is a being that speaks of the things that are false, in one passage it is given the by-name of the Whisperer.

It is my understanding, as I can parse from the documents of they who have come before me to this holy work, that the Janyati may appear to us in any guise. As humanity moved farther from Déa, the terrestrial Janyati moved with us to continue to point us back towards her. For this reason, the plurality of world religions developed. All signs point back to Déa. All teachings, no matter how they have been shaped through human hands and interpretation, point back to Déa and her rule of Love. Conflict arises from misunderstanding. Conflict arises from they who would put themselves above others when there is no justification for this.

The passage speaking of tyrants remains more or less intact. While I know that the Madrian community viewed democracy with some suspicion, I believe we have seen what becomes of mob rule and that is what is being warned against in that part of the wisdom texts. The passage speaking of chastening the errant with a willow rod has been adapted to a less violent structure, because we recognize that beating people for their errors is an equally grievous error.

The parables remain intact. There has been no change to gendered language of the parables. These are stories that only make sense in the format that they have traditionally been presented. As such, there was no need to adapt them.

In conclusion, that which has been added has been things that have been revealed to the community over the last five years. That which has been changed is for the sake of making the holy texts easier to read and more welcoming to all people who wish to seek Déa through them. I submit this work to the community in the hope that people like my children or my Beloved may find them a refuge from the world's harshness. I present it with the humble hope that I have opened the texts up to a wider audience that will make it possible for them to be translated some day into other languages with greater ease.

May it be a comfort to you and may Déa bless you through it.

Regarding the Children of Déa version of The Clear Recital.

 Dear Reader,

It's been a wild couple of weeks. I have been working hard to find an alternate place where I could get hardback copies of the edition of The Clear Recital that I had worked on printed. I'm not having much luck. I'm still sifting through the many different sites that claim they can do it for me. I have considered contacting the evil empire of Llewellyn Books regarding this, but I am reluctant to pitch to them because they don't have the best track record with author treatment if you're not a big name.

I will be putting out a paperback edition and a digital edition via Kindle Direct Publishing (an Amazon company). I expect the digital edition to complete its review process by Monday. (Provided things are actually running smoothly over there.) The paperback edition should (theoretically) be available by the end of the week. I will be taking down the Lulu edition of the book by the end of the day today. I will be removing my other titles from Lulu as well and transferring them over to KDP. (There will be much clicking of buttons and expression of exasperation today.) As with this version of The Clear Recital, I anticipate that I should have it all sorted out by Monday.

I may be putting the .pdf of this up on Lulu. That is a very "iffy" point because the last time I did that, someone ripped off a copy of one of my books and slapped it up on a book piracy site. I will be setting this up so that it will be produced at a reasonable rate. As much as I find inspiration in the other editions of The Clear Recital, I can't in good conscience set the rate as high as I've seen them going on the market. (When a copy of the NCUV is $50.00 used, I know that the book is in high demand.) I will be forced by KDP to set a cost higher than what is over at Lulu right now because KDP's print costs are higher but they're also better quality for paperback.

A question that might arise is am I producing this for profit? I have the audacity to copyright this version and I will be producing it at a profit of $1.00 per book sold. The reason why this book is under copyright is to protect it from book piracy sites. I am putting the price at where it is to add to my argument that this rendition is the intellectual property of myself and those who worked with me on it. All proceeds from this book will be going towards charity work. I am still participating in the program where I make hats for preemie babies at the local NICU. I also have begun making scarves for the homeless. The funds raised by the sale of this book are earmarked for these two causes. I will not actually be profiting off these sales. Given the cost of yarn and labor to produce these goods, I will be actually at a net loss.

New version of The Clear Recital available.

 Dear Reader,

A new version of The Clear Recital is available. After spending the last half year working on updating and clarifying language, I can announce that The Clear Recital: Children of Déa Version  is available for purchase. One may find there are some differences in the language here. It is more gender neutral to help the larger community of Independent Filianists to find comfort in the texts. I have also incorporated into the holy narrative of the Creation and the mythos of the Daughter elements that have been revealed to myself and others in the past few years through personal mystic experiences.

Some in the Orthodox Filianic community may have objection to the adjustments made to the holy texts. I would contend that these adjustments are proper and necessary to modernize the language for today's people. There are few major changes in the wisdom texts but those changes reflect that the modern household is not structured as the traditional Madrian household, which was the focus of those sections. I post at the final page the documents I consulted while working on this project. I was not able to include everything but the documents that can be purchased or accessed easily are listed.

Recommendation: The Eastminster Critical Edition of the Clear Recital & Oxonian Rite

 Dear Reader,

This week's recommendation is for the Orthodox Filianic community and those who have Madrian leanings in their practice of their faith. The Eastminster Critical Edition of the Clear Recital and of the Oxonian Rite is a treasure trove that is full of wonderful information and beautifully assembled. It has the most complete collection of the Teachings of the Daughter that I have encountered. It clearly outlines the history of the Filianic religion as well as distinguishes the differences between Filianism and Déanism.

Unlike other texts, the ECE has excerpts from the writings of Madria Olga, a charismatically ordained priestess of Déa who lead the Rosa Madriana community up until her death from cancer in 2008. Madria Olga's writings heavily informed the modern Filianic community's faith practices and continue to act as a guide for believers. The works of other priestesses and thinkers from earlier Filianic communities are referenced as well.

A very through history of Filianism is presented, detailing in chronological order the unfurling of this faith through time. There is a discussion of modern Filianism (as of the time of this edition's printing) and the rise of Independent Filianists. This discussion is handled with great care and attention to detail, which is impressive considering the wide variety of Independent Filianists.

Additionally, the ECE includes a breviary and hymnal that have been used historically by the Orthodox Filianic community. It also gives detailed accounting of the Rosary and the different contemplative paths. Along side these two important sections, there is a calendar of sorts listing the dates of holy days and something about their historical observances.
